Moving files between cloud-based Auction Tracker and a Mac

If you have never logged into Auction Tracker from your Mac, first follow these instructions: Logging into Auction Tracker on the cloud from a Mac


Moving Files: 

1. Choose a folder on your computer, which you will use to send or receive files to and from Auction Tracker on the cloud

2. Open Microsoft Remote Desktop, either by selecting its icon on the Dock --

Or by doing a Spotlight Search for it (to do a Spotlight Search, press Command-Space and enter Microsoft Remote Desktop)

**If you have been using Auction Tracker on the cloud from your Mac, you'll see the cloud computer cloud1.nwsoftware.com. Select the pencil icon to open up its settings.

3. Select Folders

4. Select Redirect folders

5. Select the +  icon, first choose a familiar folder, such as Desktop or Documents. Then if you wish to create an Auction Tracker folder inside of it, select the add folder icon

6.Select Open

7. If you've chosen to add a new folder, enter an easily-remembered name.

8. Select Create

**In this example, we've  created a folder on your local computer inside Documents, named Auction Tracker, to which Auction Tracker's cloud server is now able to save.


Saving files from Auction Tracker to your Mac:

**The following applies to bid sheets, worksheets, reports, etc., in this example, we open up Reporting > Application Reports

1. To save a report to your Mac, as a spreadsheet or a PDF, select one of those options:

2. Go to the left side of the Save As dialog box, and scroll to the bottom.

3. Select the folder you chose in the first half of this article

4. Select Save, to save the report to your local computer


Uploading photos to Auction Tracker:

1. First designate a folder (see above) which you will use to send and receive files between your Mac and Auction Tracker on the cloud.

2. Open Auction Tracker

3. Go to Auction items > Catalog Items, or Auction Items > Non-Catalog Items

4. Add or edit an item

5. Select Images

6. Select Catalog 1, Catalog 2, or Catalog 3

7. Choose "Select Image"

8. Go to the left side of the Open dialog box, and scroll to the bottom.

9. Select the folder you designated in the first part of this article, for uploading and downloading files between your computer and Auction Tracker

10. Select an image file

11. Select Open
