Logging into Auction Tracker on the cloud

**If you are using a new username or password, you may need to updating username and password from the Remote Desktop Connection program.

You will first need to add Remote Desktop Connection to your task bar

1. Select the Windows button in the bottom left corner of your screen

2. Search for Remote Desktop Connection

3. Right-click with your mouse on Remote Desktop Connection

4. Select Pin to Taskbar so that it will be readily available for you in the future.

5. Remote Desktop Connection will now appear in your task bar, so that it can be found easily.


Logging into Auction Tracker on the cloud

1. Open the Remote Desktop Connection program

2. When it opens, enter the following information:

3. Computer name: cloud1.nwsoftware.com

**If Windows asks you whether you trust this connection: Check Don't ask me again and Select Connect

4. Enter your User name (An example username is cloud\yournonprofit1)and the password for the account you are wanting to access.  **If this is your first time accessing the cloud you will want to choose among your team at your organization, which usernames you'll be using. If a temporary password has been given to you, log in as soon as possible and change it to a permanent password.

**Remember, each username begins with cloud\

** Remember If Windows prompts you with the above message, Check Do not ask me again and Select Yes.

If you are using a Temporary, when you log in you will receive the prompt below, Select OK.

Create a new password that meets the following requirements:

  • At least 8 characters long
  • Not a password used previously
  • Cannot contain the username inside the password

The password must contain 3 of the following 4 types of characters:

  • UPPER CASE
  • lower case
  • numbers 1234567890
  • punctuation, such as !@#$%^., and even the spacebar character

Sharing accounts

If you are sharing an account with another volunteer or staff member, be mindful that if they are in Auction Tracker when you log in, it will log them out, and vice-versa.


Using Auction Tracker on half of the screen for data entry

Auction Tracker on the cloud defaults to full screen mode. However, when entering data, sometimes you may wish to have a spreadsheet or email open in part of the screen, and Auction Tracker in the other part of the screen.

Select the Maximize icon

Or double-click on the header at the top
