Logging into Auction Tracker on the cloud from a Mac

1. Open the App Store
Select the App Store icon from the dock at the bottom of your screen
**If you cannot find the App Store icon, search for it, Press the Command-Spacebar to open up the Spotlight Search, Enter "App Store" into the search box, and Select the App Store icon.
2. Download Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection from the App Store
Search for Microsoft Remote Desktop
Select the download icon. (the example says update since it is already installed on my computer)
3. Open the Launchpad in order to open Microsoft Remote Desktop
Select the Launchpad icon in the dock at the bottom of your screen
Find the Microsoft Remote Desktop icon, among all the other icons in the Launchpad, you can start typing in the search bar and it will filter the view.
Drag it to the dock at the bottom of your screen so that it will be readily available in the future, or right-click on the icon and choose Options, Keep in Dock.

4. Add a desktop(PC)
5. Enter your credentials for Auction Tracker on the cloud
Enter the PC name cloud1.nwsoftware.com
Select the User Account dropdown
Select Add User Account
Enter your username and password
All usernames begin with cloud\
Select Add to finish adding your username
Now that you have added your username --
Select Add again to add your Desktop, by which you will access Auction Tracker on the cloud
Double-click to open Auction Tracker on the cloud
**If you receive a prompt -- Check the box "Don't ask again for this PC" and Select Connect.
6. Change your password, if prompted
If you have been assigned a temporary password, when you first log in you will receive the prompt below.
Select OK
Create a new password that meets the following requirements:
- At least 8 characters long
- Not a password used previously
- Cannot contain the username inside the password
The password must contain 3 of the following 4 types of characters:
- UPPER CASE
- lower case
- numbers 1234567890
- punctuation, such as !@#$%^., and even the spacebar character
Sharing accounts
If you are sharing an account with another volunteer or staff member, be mindful that if they are in Auction Tracker when you log in, it will log them out, and vice-versa.
Using Auction Tracker on half of the screen for data entry
Auction Tracker on the cloud defaults to full screen mode.
However, when entering data, sometimes you may wish to have a spreadsheet or email open in part of the screen, and Auction Tracker in the other part of the screen.
To do this, follow instructions in the next section to exit full screen mode.
