This is a simple task, once you receive your site is live email you will have all the info you need. *** Remember if you are using the online site for bidding and ticket sales, you only need to enter your auction items, fund a need levels and non-catalog items in auction tracker, everything else is done in the MaxGiving site.
In your Auction Tracker, make sure you are in the Correct Event, then:
1. Click on Utilities.
2. Click on Configure Application.
3. Click on Configure Internet Connections.
4. In the pop up click to open the 3rd tab, Auction Tracker Live!
5. On this tab enter the following info from your email:
Website URL: data.maxgiving.bid

Username:
Password:
***The best way to do this is by copying and pasting the info to avoid any typographical errors. Also make sure that the Port is set to 443.
6. Once you have filled the form click on the Test Connection button.
7. Two messages will pop up indicating that the site connection was successful and that the credentials were correct. Click Ok on both of these.
8. Click Apply to save, then you can click on Ok to exit and your setup is complete.
There are a few rules when using Auction Tracker with a MaxGiving Site:
- ALL guest and sponsorship sales must be either within Auction Tracker OR on the MaxGiving site. You can not do both. If you log guests in Auction Tracker who also buy tickets online, this will create duplicate records for that guest when it is sent back to Auction Tracker.
- If you choose to do your guests/sponsorship sales in Auction Tracker and you have us transfer the guests over from Auction Tracker WITH bid numbers already assigned, then you can not change those bid numbers once transferred to the MaxGiving site.
- You may not change the catalog numbers of Auction Items sent from Auction Tracker. They MUST remain the same you can not change them once they have been sent to the online site.
